Saint John's Food Shelf

Since 1970, St. John’s has provided food for those in need in Yuba County. In conjunction with The Christian Assistance Network, 13,734 meals were provided in 2007. A total of 1,163 adults and 264 children were fed. Along with food and hygiene items, the knitters in the congregation provide hats for the cold weather. Christmas gift bags are distributed to the homeless during December providing them with clean socks, a hat, and hygiene supplies.

Oktoberfest

Each October we celebrate the season with a traditional Oktoberfest celebration. Live music, German food and drink bring this celebration to life. ALL proceeds go to a community agency. In the past Hands of Hope, a ministry to the homeless, and Mary Covilaud School, to support their clothes closet and new clothes for school programs, have benefited.
